N Scale Signal Heads

We have some reasonable sized N scale signal heads available.  Full feature Pennsy position light, three color vertical, and three color round heads made from etched brass are available as kits (Brass signal head and LEDs).  Kits do not include wire.  Assembled** signals include approx. 1' of wire and are NOT painted.  These signals are not listed on our internet order page.  Email paul@trainspeed.com for information and availability.

The Pennsy upper head is 13/32" in diameter, the vertical head is 13/32" x 1/8" and the round three color head is 9/32" in diameter.  They are best wired using fine magnet wire found in Atlas N scale switch machines.  The brass head is used as a common connection for all LEDs (one lead of the LED is soldered directly to the head, which also serves to hold the LED in place).  The signal head has a mounting tab on it that will allow it to be soldered or glued to a 1/16 brass tube for support.

Warning:  These are not easy to build.  You will need a very fine soldering iron and very fine soldering skills!
