This option gives you all you need to
control a grade crossing with bi-directional single track detection or
two track single directional
detection. The detectors use ambient light for the detection of the train.
It can
also be used for controlling
semaphore signals and more.
ServoMaster w/o servos (9100) MSRP:

This option does not include servos
as many modelers have servos from previous RC experience or who wish
to purchase other servos. The ServoMaster will
work with most modern servos, but we have
not tested it with
all types of servos.
Grade Crossing Expansion (8001)

Expansion PCB, optical sensor cable, expansion cable
This provides all you need to add
another bidirectional detected track for a grade crossing application using the
optical sensors. Adding a
second expansion kit (GCE) will allow three bi-directional tracks to be detected
(you
will have six sensor pairs to use,
for example, to detect a four track main line with the two outer tracks single
direction and the two center track

This option includes servos and uses
reflective inferred sensors for detection. These sensors will work in the
dark. They include a PCB that
allows the sensitivity to be adjusted such that they can be used in tunnels (so
you don't get a reflection off the
roof of the tunnel).
IR Grade Crossing Expansion (9001)

This provides all you need to add
another bidirectional detected track for a grade crossing application using the
IR sensors. Adding a second

So, for example, if you want to set up
a grade crossing for three bidirectional tracks with optical detection, and you
need servos, you need to order one GCS and two GCE. To add a fourth
bidirectional track you will need one additional sensor cable (OPS).
Note that optical sensors and IR
sensors cannot be mixed within the same ServoMaster installation.
